Francie and Mike at the Grandview! | Chattanooga, TN Wedding
August 18th, 2010 by Carrie ViohlLast month, Phillip & I traveled to Chattanooga to photograph the amazing wedding of Francie & Mike, at the historic and breathtaking Grandview, atop Lookout Mountain.
The Grandview is a tip-toe away from the world-famous Rock City, and it was just the perfect location for laid-back, gorgeous Francie, and her wonderful Mike.
We met Francie through another one of our favorite brides ever, Courtney, and all of us here at the studio LOVE her! She is so funny and organized and creative and wonderful!

-This wrinkled nose thing that Francie does when she smiles is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen!-

-I can’t even talk about this Reese’s cup Groom’s Cake…-

Ruby Had Puppies. | Free to a good home!
August 10th, 2010 by Carrie ViohlSpring came fresh and lovely in 2010… and our dear sweet Lab, Ruby, found true love… at least until we rounded up the stray black lab and removed him from our yard!
But, alas, young love resulted in 9 adorable Labrador Puppies!
Now, they are as cute as puppily possible, but we cannot possible keep all 9 puppies, so in about 4 weeks, we will be looking for good homes for all nine of them!
There are:
3 black boys,
4 yellow/red boys
1 yellow/red girl
1 albino girl

Sean & Scott are EPIC. | Moultrie, Georgia Portraits
July 20th, 2010 by Carrie ViohlA few weeks ago, I put a call out on the Studio’s facebook, asking for some kids in their dress-up gear… well, I did NOT have Sean & Scott in mind, but they were SO much more awesome than what I was hoping for!
These guys are so creative, so smart, SO funny, so engaging… I could actually hang out with them any day of the week!
(Not to mention, they are pretty cute, too!!)

-Pirate hats and vintage jackets? Yes, please!-
-OMG, I love Scott for this face!-

-This was the culmination of the photoshoot getting deliriously out of my control… the boys went through my props and decided to be “Shoeless Hat Salesmen”
*meep*

Kids this age are the great un-photographed gap between little kid and senior pics, but I LOVE photographing this age! If you have kids between the age of 8-14 that haven’t had portraits made in a few years… it’s time! Give me a hollar!!

May 28th, 2010 by Carrie ViohlI looked around for my little baby son today, and realized that I don’t have a little baby son anymore at all!
Instead, I have a charming, brave, chivalrous, funny, silly, kind, loving, tenderhearted, handsome young man.

February 8th, 2010 by Carrie Viohl*
It is with a heavy heart that I write these words.
Sweet baby Parker passed away this morning, Monday February 8th, 2010.
To those that have been so supportive, I cannot tell you how your love and prayers have lifted the LaMendolas up.
Thank you for pouring your hearts out like you have.
I’m convinced that moments like these truly reveal how good and decent people can really be.
You have loved this family and this child like they were your own. You have grieved and cried and shared his story.
Parker’s time here was ephemeral, but his impact will be widespread and enduring.
His mother said it best… “Parker is now an angel. God bless him and rest in peace! We love you.”

If Parker, Laurel Beth, Greg, and Drew have made an impression on you, feel free to leave a comment on this post. We are working on a special way to deliver all of your thoughts to the family.

November 27th, 2009 by Carrie ViohlGavin’s initial reaction to Santa was *priceless!* I love this little fella… I’ve watched him grow up from a tiny baby, to a toddler; and he’s been delightful every step of the way!
Have a happy Christmas, sweet boy!
