Remember my sister who lived in Tanzania earlier this year?

She’s back stateside now, and she’s found a beautiful job, doing art therapy with disabled adults!

I was beyond honored when her studio invited me up to photograph all 80 of their clients!

I have rarely been as inspired, challenged, and thrilled as I was on the day that I spent photographing these people.

I don’t know what I expected when I went in, but what I found is that these people are amazing in every way.

We danced, hugged, and laughed so much that my cheeks hurt from smiling!

Megan and Zack are getting married this December, on what should be a magical, cool crisp day… but for their engagement session, we went for a much warmer option: 8am in the middle of Summer!

Thankfully, the weather was mild, and the light was gorgeous!

It seems like just moments ago that Katie was getting married to her wonderful husband, Tyler… and now she’s about to be a Mommy.

We did some very sweet portraits out at Tyler & Katie’s home this month, and Katie looks just as gorgeous now as she did when she was a bride!

Next week, Caroline will be here, and I can’t wait to see how gorgeous she will be…

I’m not jealous of most people.

But, I’m REALLY envious of the Barfield’s wonderful life!

They invited me into their world for one evening, and I just love LOVE loved listening to them talk about the ways they like to spend their time… surprising each other with vacations, taking little weekend getaways, wine in a moonlit garden at night, listening to music, dancing in their living room, hanging out with the dogs, stealing smooches from the grandkids!

I know they worked hard, for many years, to get to where they are now; and witnessing them so enjoy their life together makes me so happy!

It’s like a blueprint of what I want our lives to be like when Phil & I retire…

When I arrived at the farm and saw Paul’s sexy bike, I knew we were gonna have a fun shoot!

Dale & Paul are so great together, and they JUST got into their first house, so I’m so glad that our photos are part of their life together now!

(Dale’s adorable, crooked-knee stance is too great!!)

Kyle & Ashley’s wedding is coming up later this year, and I can’t WAIT for it!  

Ashley is the sister of one of our favorite brides ever, Michelle; and I know that Ashley’s wedding is going to be completely different, but just as much fun as Michelle’s!  

Ashley & Kyle are such a funny pair that I was really afraid that the photos would all be blurry from camera shake, because I was laughing almost the entire photoshoot.

But, we held it together, and had a great afternoon out at the farm! 

Stunning Uella & her gorgeous man, Harry, met me at Maclay Gardens a couple of weeks ago, and when they showed up looking fantastic, and in love, I KNEW we were going to have a fun photoshoot! 

(She’s already tall, but with those heels on, she was even taller than he is! So, we had to kick them off for a bit of smoochin!)

I was so sad when we were already booked for Jennifer’s  Gin Creek wedding date!  

But I was thrilled to be able to at least photograph she and Heath out at Gin Creek for their Engagement Pictures! 

Jennifer & Heath are both amazing people, and even more fantastic together! 

Kristen & Trey are just WAY too much fun to photograph!    They are both so gorgeous, and we were joking that they were morally obligated to have children, just to carry on the blue-eye, blonde hair gene! 

…but not really joking, you know?! 

I can’t wait to photograph their Spring wedding at Gin Creek! Gonna be so much fun! 

Lindsay was one of my favorite brides ever… I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was to work with her!  She’s graceful and beautiful and gracious and stylish, and she posses a quiet strength that is surprising from such a tiny little woman.   

So, when we learned that she and Mike were expecting a son, I was filled with happiness for them! 

If Lindsay was a stunning bride, she’s at least an equally incredible pregnant woman!  She manages to make maternity look easy and beautiful and fashionable… even if she doesn’t always feel that way! 

If you were wondering, she really is that gorgeous, no retouching at all.

And if you were wanting to hate her for looking so wonderful while pregnant, you just can’t, because she’s also one of the best people that you’ll ever meet!  You just have to love her!
